Kagan-Shafman has worked for numerous performing arts centers, dance companies and art institutions. She has worked on projects at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Joyce Theater, Poster House museum and The Richard B. Center for Performing Arts along with working as the Company Manager for GALLIM Dance. She co-founded Artist Afternoons, a multidisciplinary performance series, and currently works as a producer for Bret Easterling and BEMOVING and as assistant and project manager to Davóne Tines.
In 2020 she was selected as a Jacob's Pillow school intern and in 2022 she was honored to work with the American Modern Opera Company, Zack Winokur and Matt Aucoin's interdisciplinary company, during their Lumberyard residency in preparation for their inaugural directorship of the Ojai Music Festival. 
Kagan-Shafman has worked for many dance companies including, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, and Alexandra Beller/Dances and Ephrat Asherie Dance.
